Meeting minutes from meeting of 10/23/07

    • This months meeting was SAMA's 26th
    • We had a pre-meeting steering committee this month at 6:15. While this portion was attended (this time) by officers, these quarterly meetings are open to any member interested in helping shape the direction of this group. I will try to make sure everyone gets word well prior for the next meeting. This is what we make it, come help make it “yours”.
    • 15 people attended this month meeting. It was brought to the attention of the group that we have been derelict in keeping in touch with some of our members, all of whom we value highly. On my behalf, I would like to say to any of the members this applies to: Please excuse me for not recognizing your absence. I assumed everyone was just busy, and hope you will rejoin us. We miss you and hope you come back!
    •  We reviewed the outstanding success of this years’ Three Club Outing at Beech Creek on October 7th. This as always is our primary fundraiser; and as always: This is one of the best social events of the year, and one of the best golf outings in the city! Reviews of this outing, from attendees of all skill levels, reveal that this event continues to be one of the best values in the city. It was decided to raise next years fee to $40.00 form this years $32.00. No, $39.95. No, $40! No, something like that, anyway
    • The Christmas Party is in planning. We have two dates picked out: The “A” date is Tuesday December 11th. The “B” date is Tuesday December 18th.  If you can make Novembers meeting on Tuesday the 27th, join us and help plan out any minor details.

    •  Couple of events happened since last meeting: The WEBN Run Like Hell 5K race was Friday the 26th. A few SAMA members showed up but we could have used more volunteers. It’s a lot of fun hanging out in a cemetery near Halloween; hope you can make it next year.
    • Saturday the 27th there were conflicting events: A “crowded” Octoberfest at St. Ann’s, along with the annual Halloween Dance at Haubner field.~
    • Greg Hardig brought up the concept of a possible Superbowl Party for SAMA members. Greg pointed out that this is an event that has been held at St. Ann’s in the past with outstanding attendance (100+ attendees). This ended up being tabled, as there appeared to be some problems with implementing it this year.
    • Next Months Meeting is Tuesday October 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the school annex, ABC meeting room.
