Meeting minutes from meeting of 11/28/06

  • Christmas party this month. Well attended, lots of folks showed up for the Bengals game security.
  • 25 folks present for lots of food, fun and fellowship.
  • The usual crowd did prayers and readings
  • Ray brought up scheduled speakers for this years Catholic Men's Conference. Include a Senator, a New Orleans Saint, and a General.
  • Conference is for all interested Men and is probably appropriate for High School aged Youth.
  • Greg Hardig Senior: As always, Greg took primary responsibility for the immense spread of food.
  • Greg brings a lot to our collective table, and as a leader in our group. He is a risk taker, and to this group brought a thoughtful and inspired prayer about what Christian men want for Christmas.
  • There was a community service Request brought up by a member of St. Ann's Christian Outreach, a project that will probably take place shortly after the Holidays. Sr. Mary Brockmeyer is a nun living in an "at risk" neighborhood who has an "absentee landlord". According to Christian Outreach: She has one room that requires some cosmetic or carpentry ceiling work. Anew attendee at this months meeting, Kim Hunter (and friend) volunteered to help out. Way to go Kim and thanks to everyone who volunteered for this. There are a couple of people involved, if you wish to add yourself you can contact Joe Montgomery at 741-9890
  • Bob went over the details of Bengal's security for those who had signed up. Seemed like one heck of a game to have been at. Personally: I'm giving all the credit for the Bengals win to the fine St. Ann security staff. Way to be there when we need you!
  • Critical note! It was decided to skip the December meeting because of conflicts with the Holidays!
  • We'll see you in January and the best wishes from our group to all for the Holidays. May God be with you all in this Joyous, but sometimes hectic, time of year. Here's to hoping that the spirit of the Season shines on all the good people involved with this group.

Next meeting is Jan. 23rd 2007. Look forward to seeing you all then.
